Maeve's bedroom looks out at Magic Island. She loves adventure and never misses trips to the island with her daddy on long summer evenings. When she arrives on the island, Maeve always picks up a little black pebble from the beach and places it on the rock.

On the other side of the island are the Turas, three large black piles of pebbles that stand strangely against the sky and ocean. As Maeve lies close to them, she soon discovers that she's not the only one to move pebbles on Magic Island.....
